During this time the weather is cozy, the sceneries are picturesque but tourist population is nit at its peak. The month of August is avoidable for both vacationers and business travelers as during this time of the year most Italians take their vacations, and many shops and businesses remain closed as a result.
Facts about Visa
Visa is the document issued by a country giving a particular person the necessary permission in answer to a requested entrance to a particular country for a given period of time for certain reasons.
Requirements for visa to Italy:
Along with Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain, Italy constitutes part of the border-free travel zone known as the Schengen Area. Australian, Canadian, Japanese, New Zealand and American citizens can enter Italy as tourists without having visa to Italy and stay for 90 maximum days. EU passport holders can come and go as they please.
But if the tourist decides that he would like to stay more than 90 days in Italy he can apply (once only) at any police station for a prolongation of an additional 90 days.
The concerned person will be asked to prove his authenticity as a tourist with an appropriate means of support. As per the rule goes, permission is given immediately. But the non-American citizens should verify the current visa requirements with the nearest Italian Consulate before their exit from the country.
