Singapore Airports

  • Seletar Airport in Singapore functions as a general aviation airport and caters mostly to the chartered flights. With a single runway, the aircraft is managed and operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. The features associated with Seletar Airport are as given below:
    • The airport is used both for civil and military purposes.
    • It is equipped with 100 square meters of warehouse space and can handle 840 tones of freight each day.
    • Two check-in counters, outdoor car parking, VIP Lounge, outdoor covered waiting seats and a taxi stall outside the airport are the important services available.

    Singapore also boasts of three smaller airports Sembawang, Tengah and Paya Lebar. While the first two are exclusive military airports used mainly for the operational and logistical usage of Singapore armed forces, the last one Paya Lebar is used both for civil and military purposes.
