| The Dhaka Airport has been named after the previous president pf Bangladesh – Ziaur Rahman. It is known as the Zia International Airport. This Dhaka Airport is comparatively new and is located a mere 17 kilometers from the main city of Dhaka. The Zia International Airport forms the main entrance for aircrafts entering the Bangladesh air space. It is the mainstay for the primary national airline of Bangladesh – Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
