| The airports in Asia, like most other airports have the basic necessities in place. There are the landside and airside regions within the basic infrastructure of the airport. The landside space includes the transportation services for incoming and outgoing passengers, the parking area, and the roads leading up to the airport. The airside on the other hand includes the taxiways, ramps and runways pertaining to the actual take off and landing of the airplanes. The point of connection between these two extremes of the airports in Asia is the terminal. The terminal is what provides the passengers with the facilities of buying tickets, clearing security, waiting for the aircrafts and finally boarding them through the gates.
More airports in Asia are underway because of the increased air traffic due to extensive travel by travelers coming from all over the world for business purposes or as tourists. Tourism is especially well developed in countries like India, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal and the Indonesian islands and draws a significant amount of international traffic. The domestic air travel has also seen a rise of late in many Asian countries leading to the growth of many more airports in Asia.
