| British Airways Airlines is the largest and flagship airline of the United Kingdom and the third largest in entire Europe. Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport in London are the head quarters of British Airways Airlines. British Airways Airlines is a PLC and the holder of a United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Type A operating license and has regular operation in all domestic and major international destinations throughout the world. Like countries in other continents, the people of Asia are served very well by British Airways flights.
On March 1924, four strong airlines operating in United Kingdom-Instone Air Line, Handley Page Transport, Daimler Airways and British Marine Navigation and some small aviation companies merged together and formed a new entity named Imperial Airways. In the beginning Imperial Airways had regular operations to different destinations in Australia and Africa. In those days, some smaller UK air transport companies also had operations in domestic routes but were struggling to exist as the Imperial Airways was dominating th aviation industry. Ultimately they decided to merge with Imperial Airways and thus the privately owned British Airways was formed.
